Imagine a world where everyone has access to the Bible in their own language.

There are almost 7,000 different languages in the world and, despite being the most translated literary work of all time, the Bible has only been translated into around 9% of these languages.

At TWFTW we believe that the Bible is the most important work of literature in the world and we want to see everyone have access to it, regardless of where they live or the language they speak. We are passionate about this work because we believe the Bible is sacred, holy and life-changing. Throughout the centuries billions of people have found comfort, inspiration and the meaning of life through its pages.

The Word for the World UK is affiliated with TWFTW International. We are a charity registered in England & Wales (charity number 1098498) and we provide logistical, prayer and financial support for TWFTW's translation and literacy projects around the world.

Our goal is to be instrumental in translating the Bible into 500 languages by 2050. Please explore this site to find out how we plan to achieve this and please join us in our mission.

Approximately 2,500 language communities already have some or all of the Bible available to them. However, over 4,000 language communities do not. We - and other Bible translators - are working around the world to change this.

The Vision: The glory of God through transformed lives by the power of His Word in everyone's heart language.

The Mission: To empower indigenous persons and organisations for Bible translation.

What will your legacy be? Please consider a contribution to The Word For The World. Become part of the vision to bring God's Word to all people in their heart language by 2050.
