Become a TWFTW Fundraiser!
TWFTW UK has organised various sponsored events in the past. In 2011 Barry Funnell raised over £20,000 by hand cycling 1000 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats.
In 2013 over £3,000 was raised through a sponsored walk in Wales, tracing the footsteps of Mary Jones. (In the early 1800s, Mary walked 26 miles after saving for 6 years to buy her own Bible. Her story inspired the founding of The Bible Society.)
In 2014 we held a Swim for Scripture event which raised just under £3,000 for Bible Translation.

Operation Jonah (The kidnap story) This is the moving story of a child who was kidnapped from his parents (Barry and Julia Funnell) while they working with their team of translators on the Sena Bible in Malawi. It tells of how the community responded to help find their son.
The author of the book, Elisabeth Miller, has donated 1000 copies to The Word for the World. If you purchase Operation Jonah for a suggested donation of £10 including postage, all the funds will go directly to Bible translation.
